Samuel GobleCornettSam graduated from music college in 2008, studying with Richard Thomas and Jeremy West. Since then, Sam's enthusiasm for the cornetto has led him to perform and record with many of the leading exponents of early music including His Majesty's Sagbutts and Cornetts. Recent projects include recording the Monteverdi Vespers and the complete works of Victoria with Ensemble Plus Ultra. As well as his work in performance, Sam is visiting professor of cornett at the University of East Anglia and is also a maker of cornetts and mouthpieces. He is currently developing treble cornetts in high pitch from three different collections.  Personnel |
